Boxabl units in our units feed
Independent project. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with BOXABL Inc. or BOXABL PH Construction OPC. "Boxabl" is used here only to describe the products we model. We don't sell Boxabl products, take orders or deposits, or speak for Boxabl.
What we list, and where it comes from
Six Boxabl units from Boxabl's public pages are listed in our units feed (/partners/modular/units) for the MicroHom planner to use; the planner currently shows a Casita Studio cost comparison. The data was copied on October 17, 2026. They are labeled "public data, not supplied by Boxabl", and each one links its sources:
- Casita Studio (19 x 19 ft, 361 sq ft), Casita One Bedroom and Casita Two Bedroom (19 x 38 ft, 722 sq ft). Unit-only and turnkey prices as listed in boxabl.com/llms.txt.
- Developer Series modules: Small 20 x 20, Medium 20 x 30 and Big 20 x 40 (steel framing, stackable, about $100/sq ft as listed on boxabl.com/developers).
- California approvals announced in Boxabl press releases (Casita, Jan 20, 2025; two-bedroom Casita, Dec 17, 2025) are listed as claims with the press-release link, not as verified HCD records.
Machine-readable list: /partners/modular/units (JSON). Prices change; always check the source page.
For Boxabl or any manufacturer
If you make these units and want the data corrected, or want to add units, send them through the manufacturer lane: the A2A skill modular_partner_intake or the web form. A human reviews every submission; nothing is published without approval and your consent, and there are no quotes, fees or commitments. To ask us to remove the public-data entries, use the same form or /start.
BOXABL PH Construction OPC (Philippines) is a separate company that says it is independent of BOXABL Inc. We have no relationship with either company.
California notes: factory-built housing (HCD)
- In California, factory-built housing (FBH) is regulated by the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) under the California Factory-Built Housing Law (Health and Safety Code §19960 and following) and Title 25 of the California Code of Regulations.
- Plan approval: designs are approved by an HCD-certified third-party Design Approval Agency (DAA).
- In-plant inspection: construction is inspected in the factory by an HCD-certified Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).
- Insignia: every FBH unit or building component sold to a first user in California must carry an HCD Insignia of Approval (orange for dwelling units, red for building components), affixed before it leaves the factory. Insignia are issued only through an approved QAA, and only for units with prior plan approval (H&SC §19980).
- On site: the local building department still reviews the approved plans and inspects foundation, installation, utility connections and site work. Zoning and ADU rules are local.
- A press release saying a model is "approved in California" is a claim, not evidence. We list certifications as verified only after checking them against the issuing agency.
- Sources: HCD third-party agencies, HCD factory-built insignia, HCD inspections and fees, HCD FBH handbook (form FBH 314). This is general information, not legal or engineering advice; confirm with HCD and the local building department.
